Seung-Wan Chae is a certified public accountant and a partner expert in Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. He formerly worked at the International Tax & Legal Service of PWC Samil Accounting Corporation and provided tax and legal consultations to foreign-invested companies, foreign companies, and non-residents between 2000 and 2005. He joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL) in 2005. He has extensive experience in various international tax issues and has extensive experience advising both domestic and foreign clients on issues relating to cross-border M&A, joint venture, foreign investment transactions, tax treaties, withholding tax as well as audits and tax controversy. He earned a B.S. degree in applied statistics from Yonsei University, and a M.S. degree in taxation from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has passed the CPA examinations both in Korea and California U.S. He is an external member of the Scientists and the Engineers Mutual-aid Association ("SEMA") investment committee.
